Boarding News

Welcome back to SBC Boarding for Term 2, and welcome too, to those girls and families new to our community. I hope you all enjoyed the holidays with your daughters and that the girls were able to rest and recharge their batteries ahead of what is always a busy term.

Exams and ESTs are not too far off for our senior girls and I know they’ve been studying and preparing  diligently. We wish them well.

The Year 10s displayed their Personal Projects at the official Exhibition opening and they’re all to be commended on their amazing efforts in completing such a range of interesting and beautifully prepared work.

Our Boarding Council represented SBC Boarding this week at a leadership dinner at Perth College along with other young leaders from residential communities. Opportunities to meet and network with other boarders is always a wonderful opportunity for the girls.

I was delighted that a group of 13 girls took part in the Relay for Life held at Aquinas College on Saturday. Amidst a carnival type atmosphere, the girls all contributed to fundraising for a very worthy cause.

The winter sport season is well and truly in full swing and it’s very pleasing to see so many girls participating. We mustn’t underestimate the positive effects exercise has on the physical and mental wellbeing of our girls.

Our boarding houses have now been fitted with security cameras and I’m extremely optimistic that the very concerning incidents of theft have been eliminated. I thank you all for your support with this matter.

As always, please don’t hesitate to contact me if I can be of any assistance or you have any concerns.

Kind regards
