From the Deputy Principal

As we head towards the end of the fourth term, our students have continued many exciting learning journeys.  Our Year 6 students shared with our community their Junior School Exhibition afternoon which investigated the Transdisciplinary Theme of ‘Sharing The Planet’.  Their exhibition was the culmination of many weeks of investigating their burning questions, through class activities, excursions, collaborative sessions and discussions at home.  Our students spoke with such confidence when family and friends quizzed them about the contents of their final report and inquiry books, we are so proud of each of the students.  We would also like to extend our thanks to our Year 6 teachers Sharryn Cunningham and Joe Comito for their leadership of the students.

In the bIBliotech as part of Grandparents Day, we were fortunate to host over 400 family members come through our doors; not only to peruse the book fair items, but also to take time to spend with the grandchild playing scrabble, chess, connect four, jenga or even a quiet story.  We loved hosting you!  Funds raised from the Book Fair will be used to purchase resources for the bIBliotech in the new year.

As the summer days approach us, we have experienced some quiet hot weather.  On one such day the bIBliotech housed students from all ages for lunch.  The photos say it all; it was wonderful to watch our senior students spending time with the junior students at lunch or even playing a few games themselves.  We love this community space.

Booklists are now accessible on the College website, for queries regarding items on the list please contact the relevant Team Leader.

Our staff have been busy finishing final reports which are now available on the portal.

I take this opportunity to thank all of our students and families a wonderful year and I know we are already looking forward to an exciting 2020.

God Bless and may the joy and peace of Christmas be with you and your families.
