In Term Swimming
Many activities have happened since our last newsletter. We had the in-term swimming lessons, which lasted for two weeks.
Grandparents Day
We had many grandparents visiting us during Grandparents day. They participated in classroom activities.
Christmas Consert
We also had a massive dosage of cuteness, with Pre-primary students re-enacting the Nativity. It was a wonderful way to remind us of the birth of Christ. The children sang with gusto, and the melody was incredibly catchy. The Kindergarten students were brave too. They stood on stage for their Kindy Christmas concerts and sang beautifully.
Due to Covid-19, the elderly sisters of Mercy in the Eastern States were confined to their homes. So, we decided to bring some Christmas cheers to them through a virtual carols concert. The students performed and sang their Christmas Carols to the sisters using Zoom technology. The students then performed again, at the annual Christmas on the Green concert. The teachers joined in the festivities and performed together to entertain the crowd.
Thanksgiving Assembly
At the End of the Year Thanksgiving Assembly, we farewelled our beloved Year 6s, and wished them best of luck as they move on to high school next year. We also had the opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the Learning Area Award winners and present Responsible Christian Learners Awards to students from Pre-primary to Year 6.
It was great to see the 2020 primary leaders pass on the baton to the newly appointed primary leaders for 2021 and to announce the new house leaders for next year.

Often, there is a feeling we live two different Christmas experiences. One is an endless round of parties, giving presents, enjoying food and socialising, the bright decorative lights and excessive indulgence at the forefront.
The other Christmas experience, is the biblical truth and inner beauty of love at Christmas time; God becoming man and coming into our world as a small baby born in a humble manger. Let us remember to prepare for the coming of the Messiah by spreading peace and love to all around us.
From the staff of St Brigid’s College, we wish you a Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year.
