Dear Parents and Guardians

Teachers have finalised end of semester reports and the Parent/Teacher interviews held on Thursday were very successful and well attended. All reports can be accessed on the College Portal and we recommend you take time to sit with your child and read through their report. Celebrate their achievements and set new goals for the next semester.

This term we held dancing lessons for the children in Pre-Primary to Year 4 with instruction from Scott at Humphrey’s Dance Studio. Scott is always a big hit with the children and once again prepared them beautifully. The culmination of the lessons was in the form of a Dance Night held last week where the children showed off their best moves! Thank you to all the families who came out to share the night with the children –  it was a lovely evening.

Over the past term, our Year 6 students have been preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation. The students were involved in a workshop with their parents and a reflection day at the Parish.  They also met with Bishop Don Sproxton, who spoke to them about the importance of embracing the gifts of the Holy Spirit into their lives, particularly as they enter their teenage years. Last weekend, our students, along with children from the Parish, were confirmed during beautiful celebrations. I would like to thank Father Michael Separovich for all his support of our students and teachers, to Mrs Barbara Bolding who works tirelessly to coordinate all the events, families and celebrations and to the teachers, who prepared the children through their Religious Education units over the term. We were very proud of all our students.

Recently, I have been conducting a number of interviews for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten enrolments for 2019. It has been very rewarding and valuable spending time talking to new families and also catching up with our existing families. If you are looking to place your little ones into the College for 2019, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.

On behalf of all the teaching staff in the Junior School I wish you and your families a wonderful holiday break together, return safely to us in Term 3 to begin on Tuesday 17th July.

With warm regards

Nicola Lee
