Gardening Talk/Afternoon Tea
A delicious home-made afternoon tea was enjoyed by more than 40 guests following Sue McDougall’s gardening talk on ‘Edible Gardens’. Sue discussed the details of how to achieve a successful result for veggie gardens with samples of composts, fertilisers and plants on display in the beautiful surrounds of the Heritage Cottage. Guests arrived on a beautiful sunny afternoon to the accompaniment of soft music, played on flutes and clarinets, by some of our Cambodia students and were given a chance to purchase some vegetable plants and herbs whilst door prizes and raffle prizes were drawn. The guests mingled during the afternoon tea and had the chance to ask Sue plenty of gardening questions. A successful and delightful day was enjoyed by both guests and the Cambodia Team. Thanks to all those who put in so much effort to make this afternoon such a wonderful success.

As we draw closer to our departure for Cambodia I would like to thank the many families who have supported our fundraising efforts and have donated items so generously. Without this generosity we would be unable to assist those in Cambodia. The students are very excited about the immersion now and plans have developed very well. We look forward to returning with some wonderful stories and information about the work in which we have been involved to share with our community. Thank you again for such generosity and support.

With very many thanks and God Bless.
