St Brigid’s College continues to extend our curriculum and build on our students’ knowledge of the vast array of technology available to them.
In 2024, if your child is in years 1, 4, 7 or 10 you will not need to be part of the existing BYOD program. These selected years will be involved in the new College device leasing programme and the device charge will be listed in the school fees. More details on fees and the College device leasing programme will be released in due time.
If you are outside of these years, the recommendation is to purchase for junior school the Apple(10thGen) 10.9″ iPad Wi-Fi 64GB or Senior school the Apple MacBook Air 13″ m1 8Core CPU 7 Core GPU/8GB RAM/256GB SSD or an equivalent apple product.
Under the BYOD Programme, students in Years 8, 9, 11 and 12 are expected to bring their own computing devices to school each day. The personal computing device needs to meet device specifications that are recommended by the College.
As we continue with our Primary School iPad Programme, we ask that all students in Years 2, 3, 5 and 6 have an iPad that meets the specifications recommended by the College.
It is a requirement of the College that students have a carry case/ bag and a suitable external hard drive for back-ups.
