Weddings and Baptisms

Terms and Conditions

Chapel Availability

The Chapel is available for weddings and baptisms on Saturdays and Sundays between 10am and 12pm and from 2.00pm to 4.30pm or by liaison and special arrangement with the celebrant. The College will only book one wedding per day. The Chapel is not available on weekends when major College functions are scheduled. Once a wedding has been booked, the Chapel can be made available for a rehearsal prior to the wedding.

The Wedding Ceremony and Celebrant

Weddings in the College Chapel must be a Catholic ceremony. If desired, a Nuptial Mass may be held in the Chapel. It is your responsibility to obtain a priest or deacon to be the Celebrant of your marriage. There will typically be a fee for the Celebrant. As the Chapel is located within the Parish of Lesmurdie, the Parish Priest must be informed of the wedding 6 months prior to the date of the marriage. The Celebrant is responsible for lodging papers with the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages and the Parish Priest.

Marriage Preparation

Couples wishing to marry in the Catholic Church are required to undergo some form of pre-marriage education. The Celebrant should provide options for marriage preparation as well as assistance with the liturgy and rehearsal for the ceremony.

General Information

With a seating capacity of 90 – 100, the Chapel is located in the Heritage Building, with access via the front circular driveway. The Chapel has recently been beautifully and faithfully restored and was rededicated in 2003.

It is your responsibility to arrange flowers and music for the ceremony. We are sure you will understand that we do not allow confetti, rice or rose petals to be used in the Chapel or the College Grounds.

The grounds of the College provide a beautiful backdrop for photographs; however, Wedding Ceremonies may not be held on the grounds.
